Yes. It is, in fact, the WoJake Newsletter. BUT. As a Blog!!!
Who is in WoJake now?
To be graced by Miso's presence is to be blessed by the creator themselves. Miso Lady is light and joy incarnate. She is originally from Kuwait but was flown to MKE with her two kittens and a few other cats to make a life for themselves in the States. Since arriving at our home, she has been looking for a good time all the time. Which can either be racing you up and down the stairs, hunting Melon, basking in the sun or putting on a show by stretching out as long as possible or ripping her scratch pad to shreds.
Since arriving in our home, Miso has made herself the hostess with the mostest.
"Mellon" is the Elvish word for "friend," and that is exactly what this little baby is. She loves to be with us, ideally on our shoulders, but the lap will suffice if you need to be typing on a keyboard. However, if you are not available, you can often find her napping in the most comfortable but precarious places. She is the funniest little creature you may ever see. The confidence that she has (at times) and self-assuredness for someone who is 8 lbs is truly remarkable. She has also recently taken on the previously vacant position in the house "Adriniline Junkie." Prior to this role, she primarily managed the plumbing in the home.
Dipsy
My Little Mini, who has no fear in expressing her feelings. We adopted her in October 2024. She had no real backstory from her fosters; we just know she was found in Arkansas and picked up and put into the shelter system for some time. Eventually, she was chosen to be fostered in Wisconsin in hopes that she would have a better chance of adoption. Which turned out to work pretty well because here she is today. Currently, Dipsy is in a personalized training program, which is helping her build her confidence and make good choices. We also just got the test results, and she is heartworm-free for the first time!!
Currently, Dipsy is on a sabbatical and does not have an active job role as she is prioritizing her mental health via training.
